Drawing on her experience at Yale University 's MacMillan Center managing PIER, international outreach to the larger

K-12 education and 2 and 4-year college communities, Nancy spearheaded a project working with the Community Colleges of Connecticut (CCC). She is advising them as they develop their first-ever internationalization strategy.  With faculty working at the heart of the curriculum, they are deploying a virtual exchange turnkey system, Gazelle International’s CLICK (Collaborative Learning for International Capabilities and Knowledge).

Nancy brings this same commitment to high-quality education to Gazelle International as she works with faculty to help them expand their engagement in the world and share it with their students.  She is known for developing simple, effective approaches to assessing the impact of international education resources.

Knowing international funding models from the inside out, Nancy helped secure the funding for the CCC initiative from the French Embassy in the US and the project is now actively pursuing ERASMUS and NSF funding to scale-up and sustain the program.  Nancy also serves as the Strategic Initiatives Fellow at the University at Albany (SUNY) where she advises the International Education Management and Leadership program, as they kickstart a revenue-generating synchronous online professional development expert series. The aim is to establish a financially sustainable ecosystem of learning coupled with a new online asynchronous Masters and Certificate program.

For expanding educational exchange and partnerships, the French government honored her with the Chevalier des Palmes Académiques. Her longstanding research and advocacy interest is the interaction of federal policy and the international capacity of the U.S. higher education system, especially the HEA Title VI Act impact on building and sustaining international, area and language studies in the curriculum and research agenda.
